Video: Heroes in Urban Farming
The focus of the video is on the social impact of 2 initiatives, a Community Based Organisation in Korogocho, KOMBGREEN Solutions, and Tumshangilieni Mtoto Children's Home and School,
The video takes us to Korogocho, where a youth group is transforming their neighbourhood and the lives of so many, starting with their own. They have left their past in crime and prostitution behind, to engage in environment protection, and community work, feeding programs and training and mentoring of other youth groups.
The staff of Tumshangilieni Mtoto's children's home and school are fully dedicated to provide the kids of vulnerable families from the neighbouring slum with a chance for a better life. Environmental protection, agriculture and the 4K-Club play an important role in the education of the kids but also for their lives in the school.
Both institutions and the people behind, are heroes for us.
