very interesting in content and I applaud your pathway! I am going to reach out to you on behalf of a school garden project in Kibera ( in the next weeks ). The knowledge about what we eat is primordial to children’s future of choosing their own diets. The importance of indigenous veggies, exercise ( nicely combined with work in the garden ), life long knowledge about food and exercise are all aspects of healthier life and a sustainable farming and better planet. Thank you so much for sharing here and thanks to the summit organizers!

Thanks, Jessica. It is very important that as we do our farming, we consider the nutritive value a food brings to the table. The quantities should also be taken into consideration to avoid lifestyle diseases.

Hi. Where can one get comprehensive information on the edible leafy vegetables to plant for consumption? Thanks.

  • Margaret

    God bless you Jessica, congratulation.

  • I enjoyed listening to Jessica while I prepared dinner. Glad you mentioned nutritional contents of indigenous vegetables as I was boiling Sagaa and Amaranth for future meals. We have a recovering parent who’s regained strength due to food: two servings of vegetables, one serving of protein and a serving of carbs. I record her daily meals to later share with her age-mates. Keep up with your message, we eat as our Grandmothers did.
