"You learn from the generation behind. These kids learn from us, and they don't have to go to crime. Maybe, they even become environmentalists like us."

Kombgreen Solution is a CBO in Korogocho, Nairobi. The CBO was founded in 2017, after a successful joint effort of the local youth to clean the dumpsite next to a newly built bridge and create a green, safe space for the community there, the Peoples Park. Kombgreens is providing training and mentorship riparian ecosystems restoration for other youth groups, who want to transfer the model to other parts of the informal settlement.

The video takes us to Korogocho, where the youth group is transforming their neighbourhood and the lives of so many, starting with their own. They have left their past in crime and prostitution behind, to engage in environment protection, and community work, feeding programs and training and mentoring of other youth groups.
